Day 1: Haridwar to Sonprayag/Phata/Guptkashi

  • Distance: 220 km | Time: 7-9 hours

  • Start early from Haridwar and enjoy a scenic drive through Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag.

  • En route, witness the holy confluences of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag.

  • Arrive at Sonprayag/Phata/Guptkashi by evening and check into your hotel.

  • Rest and prepare for the Kedarnath trek the next day.

Day 2: Sonprayag to Gaurikund & Kedarnath Trek

  • Trek Distance: 16 km | Time: 6-8 hours

  • Early morning drive to Gaurikund, the base of the Kedarnath trek.

  • Start trekking towards Kedarnath Temple, passing through Jungle Chatti, Bheembali, and Linchauli.

  • Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-clad mountains and lush green valleys.

  • Reach Kedarnath, check into a guesthouse/camp, and visit the Kedarnath Temple for evening darshan.

  • Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

Day 3: Kedarnath to Sonprayag

  • Trek Distance: 16 km | Time: 5-7 hours

  • Wake up early for the morning aarti at Kedarnath Temple.

  • After breakfast, start trekking back to Gaurikund and drive to Sonprayag.

  • Check into a hotel and relax after the long trek.

Day 4: Sonprayag to Haridwar

  • Distance: 220 km | Time: 7-9 hours

  • After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar via Rudraprayag and Rishikesh.

  • Arrive in Haridwar by evening, marking the end of a spiritually enriching journey.

Getting Around with Ease

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (250 km). From there, take a taxi or bus to Sonprayag.

Via Train

The nearest railway station is Rishikesh (220 km) or Haridwar (240 km). Buses and taxis are available from there.

Via Road

Kedarnath trek starts from Gaurikund, which is well connected by road to Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun.
