Day 1: Drive from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti

Altitude (Pipalkoti): 1,340 m / 4,400 ft
Drive Distance: 215 km | 8–9 hours

Your journey begins with an early morning drive from Rishikesh, following the scenic Alaknanda River. En route, pass through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag. Reach Pipalkoti by evening and rest overnight.

Day 2: Drive to Kalpeshwar and Return to Pipalkoti

Altitude:

Pipalkoti: 1,340 m / 4,400 ft
Kalpeshwar: 2,100 m / 6,900 ft
Drive Distance: 70 km (round trip) | 4 hours

Visit Kalpeshwar, the only Panch Kedar temple accessible throughout the year. After darshan, return to Pipalkoti for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Sagar Village and Trek to Lyuti Bugyal

Altitude:

Sagar Village: 1,700 m / 5,600 ft
Lyuti Bugyal: 3,000 m / 10,000 ft
Drive: 30 km | 1 hour
Trek: 8 km | 6–7 hours

Drive to Sagar Village and begin your trek through dense forests and alpine meadows. Reach Lyuti Bugyal, a stunning high-altitude pasture, and camp overnight.

Day 4: Trek to Rudranath Temple and Return to Lyuti Bugyal

Altitude:

Rudranath: 3,550 m / 11,600 ft
Trek Distance: 18 km (round trip) | 10–12 hours

A challenging yet deeply spiritual day. Trek to Rudranath Temple, set against dramatic Himalayan backdrops. After darshan, return to Lyuti Bugyal for overnight rest.

Day 5: Trek Down to Sagar Village and Drive to Chopta

Altitude:

Chopta: 2,900 m / 9,500 ft
Trek: 8 km | 4–5 hours
Drive: 35 km | 1–2 hours

Descend to Sagar Village and drive to Chopta, popularly known as the “Mini Switzerland of India.” Overnight stay in Chopta.

Day 6: Trek to Tungnath Temple and Optional Hike to Chandrashila Peak

Altitude:

Tungnath: 3,500 m / 11,500 ft
Chandrashila: 3,700 m / 12,000 ft
Trek Distance: 8–9 km | 7–8 hours

Trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Energetic trekkers may continue to Chandrashila Peak for panoramic Himalayan views. Return to Chopta for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Drive to Ransi and Trek to Gaundhar

Altitude:

Ransi: 2,000 m / 6,500 ft
Gaundhar: 1,800 m / 5,800 ft
Drive: 52 km | 3–4 hours
Trek: 6 km | 4–5 hours

Drive to Ransi village and begin your trek to Gaundhar, passing through terraced fields and forest trails. Overnight stay at Gaundhar.

Day 8: Trek from Gaundhar to Madhmaheshwar

Altitude (Madhmaheshwar): 3,200 m / 10,600 ft
Trek Distance: 10 km | 6–7 hours

A steady ascent through scenic valleys leads you to Madhmaheshwar Temple. Evening prayers and overnight stay near the temple.

Day 9: Trek Back to Ransi and Drive to Guptakashi / Phata

Trek: 16 km | 8–9 hours
Drive: 45 km | 2–3 hours

Descend to Ransi and continue by road to Guptakashi or Phata. Relax and prepare for the Kedarnath leg of the journey.

Day 10: Drive to Gaurikund and Trek to Kedarnath Temple

Altitude:

Kedarnath: 3,600 m / 11,700 ft
Drive: 35 km | 2–3 hours
Trek: 16 km | 8–9 hours

Drive to Gaurikund and embark on the iconic trek to the Kedarnath Temple. Witness the divine aura of one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Overnight stay near the temple.

Day 11: Descend to Gaurikund and Drive to Guptakashi / Phata

Trek: 16 km | 8–9 hours
Drive: 35 km | 2–3 hours
Accommodation: Guesthouse

Trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptakashi or Phata. Overnight rest.

Day 12: Drive from Guptakashi to Rishikesh

Altitude:

Guptakashi: 1,400 m / 4,500 ft
Rishikesh: 400 m / 1,400 ft
Drive Distance: 180 km | 7–8 hours
